The Fundacja Eskadra (Squadron Foundation) who currently owns and maintains the SBLim-2 (Mig-15UTI) and Europe's only airworthy Lim-2 (Mig-15bis) has very ambitious plans to restore the Mig-21 "Fishbed" and the Mig-23 "Flogger" back to an Airworthy condition.

The team is currently searching for promising airframes to protect them against degradation and it will take a number of years before we see those jets back in the air. Once restored those will be the only privately-owned airworthy examples of those aircraft in Europe as well as the only privately owned supersonic jets in Poland.

We wish the team the best of luck and we hope to see those unique jets at the European Airshows in the future. Follow Fundacja Eskadra/Squadron to find out what the team is up to and to keep up to date with all their projects.
