Damn, allegedly they’re going to have an aircraft (they don’t mention what model) go faster that Mach 1 thus making a sonic boom, that would be awesome to experience!
I had the opportunity to hear not one, but two sonic booms back when a private pilot entered restricted airspace in Seattle when Obama was visiting. Two F-15s were scrambled from the Oregon Air National Guard down in Portland and subsequently broke the sound barrier the whole way to Seattle. Sadly I slept through them.

From what I hear its going to be quite a few Nasa and USAF aircraft racing each other to break the sound barrier (I assume that means the USAF F-35, F-22, and F-16, and the Nasa F-15, and F/A-18)

It looks like the NASA DC-8 will also be at the Aerospace Valley airshow. Here's the link to the NASA DC-8 schedule.

A sonic boom demo!! was added among others.
