I did look at the ticket map for Oceana, and yes, it appears the paid seats are all in front of general admission, and the front sections seem to be sold out. I was hoping there were other areas open to the public to get to the flightline.
I may throw my APC (7D mkII) camera in my bag in case I need the extra reach, or just keep it on the longer lens. Otherwise I’m shooting a full frame 5DSr or 5D mkII.

I haven't been to either show, and have no feel for the layouts, what kind of access I can get to photograph the flight line. The shows I usually go to have photo pits, or have a map to see where the general public can get access to the flight line if they hustle. For Dayton there was only like 30' of flight line front row access for general public, and that was better than the pit this year.
Also there seems to be quite a few restrictions on bags and equipment at both shows because of it being an active base, and since I will be alone, I probably won't want to drag my 500 f4 and extra tripod along. So I'm thinking my wide angle / mid tele for the statics, and my 150-600, or 100-400 with 1.4x for the flight shots if that tells you how close I need to be to the line for decent shots.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?
Andrews has released the ground map, it's on their website. The paid seating area is closer to the runway but not at the show center, the free area near the show center is further away from the runway. I think a 150-600 would work better than a 100-400, unless you are taking about APS-C bodies. I haven't been the Oceana in the last 5 years. I have a ticket for a front row seat. From the map it looks like the paid area covers pretty much the entire front area, if I am not mistaken. I will be at Andrews on Sat and at Oceana on Sun as well.
I'm also doing Andrews on Saturday and Oceana on Sunday. Since I've done Oceana many times before, I can point out that there are two areas open to the public to get to the flightline. The areas are located on the right-hand side of the bleacher, general and reserved seating, and on the left-hand side of the executive squadron and commanding officer chalet areas. From my experience going to Oceana the left side of the chalet areas is your best bet.

If you aren't going to have a tripod, I might suggest the bleacher seating. I ended up there each time I went to Oceana and I was pretty happy with it. Relatively cheap and a good view.
The reserved seats don't really allow you to stand for photos anyway, just fyi.

Does anyone know if you're allowed to have a camera with a lens size of around 100 - 400mm up in the bleacher area?
There seemed to be a problem in 2018 with the lens size in the bleacher area and I don't know if they changed it in 2019 ?
BTW, 10 years ago you were able to stand up in the top row of the bleachers with your camera, but I heard they had an incident
a few years back when someone standing fell on other people in the bleachers and now you're not allowed to stand anymore.
If anyone has any updates on the bleacher area restrictions it would be appreciated!

The no standing rule does sound vaguely familiar now that you mention it; I last went in 2014 and it was not an issue to stand with my 50-500. That would really suck if they have banned both

I believe there is still no standing in the bleacher area.

The schedule has been posted. Includes a "Coast Guard flyby" and a C-2 flyby at the conclusion of the Air Power Demo.

Fridays practice day will be similar to saturdays schedule. Practice starts at 10 or so with the blue angels starting around 330. If you have normal base access, you can watch from on base..got the info from the the Facebook page and DM..
