Yeah, they posted on the bleacher rules sign that you were to remain seated during performances, but I guess
half the struggle with Oceana is the weather this time of year and it looked to be some of the best weather in maybe 20 years
Yeah, the F-35C Demo team sell stuff and they had a merchandise tent at the Jones Beach show earlier this year.
I bumped into one of the VFA-125 officers (wasnt sure if he was one of the pilots or a ground pounder) at the O-Club on Friday after they flew-in. I asked about them having swag and he said they didnt bring anything to Oceana for the show. I believe only the Viper team had swag since VFA-106 typically doesnt sell their demo swag. I ended up getting some Blue Angel senior enlisted swag (t-shirt and coins) from one of their Senior Chiefs at the Officers Club friday night from the trunk of his rental car though haha
I was in the bleachers Saturday, and thankfully they weren't enforcing the no standing rule. Even in the reserved area you could get away with it until the Blues performed, and even then it was selectively enforced when people sitting complained (can't blame them - it makes a lot more sense to discourage standing with the flat seats vs the tiered bleacher view).
The VFA-106 tent had both squadron-specific 106 swag as well as a Demo Team-specific section.zone5 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 1:43 pmI bumped into one of the VFA-125 officers (wasnt sure if he was one of the pilots or a ground pounder) at the O-Club on Friday after they flew-in.
