Here are a few pictures from the night show finale: Nathan Hammond/Ghost Writer & Ken Rieder/Redline flying their night show acts while fireworks/pyro were going off. That was pretty awesome.

Some pics from the F-35B demo. The demo was good and included some typical military jet demo passes along with the hover.
Edit: trying to embed a video of the hover.

in my opinion the F-35B demo on Saturday was a bit underwhelming, especially since it followed right after the F-35A demo. The short takeoff and landing were nothing compared to what the harriers used to do, and everything else (minus the short hover) seemed repetitive to what we had just seen with the F-35A.

I was just happy to see the B version. I would have rather seen the Viper or Raptor from the AF instead of the F-35A since the B was there. I still enjoyed both demos, even though the A was cut short by a technical issue. I saw a post of Facebook about a vertical landing for the F-35B, but Sun'nFun mentioned that the runway was not built to withstand the F-35B. I do remember that a Harrier did a vertical landing there a few years ago though (it was Art Nalls' Sea Harrier IIRC).OwenORourke wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 3:02 pm in my opinion the F-35B demo on Saturday was a bit underwhelming, especially since it followed right after the F-35A demo. Since it was obviously a highlight of the week, here's some Mig 23 shots from Friday evening (featuring @Airplanefreak2000 in the red shirt up on the tower )

I've enjoyed seeing everyone's photos from SnF. I really enjoyed another year down there. It was also really cool having the F-22 participate in the heritage flight on Thursday alongside the P-51 and F-35A. Looking forward to next year. Wonder how big it will be, as the 50th anniversary of Snf? Here's a few of my photos from the week.

On March 29, 2023, a 1951 North American AT-6G Texan (N791MH) belonging to Henley Aviation Inc. was involved in landing accident. This particular Texan is apart of the AeroShell Aerobatic Team.
From Rick Ackerman
For the record…There were strong crosswinds, and it was a very land-able situation had the tail wheel steering cable not broken. Let’s not forget that the pilot, as soon as his plane was secure, jumped in another plane, flew to Bessemer Alabama, picked up the teams back up plane and was back at SnF in time to do the night show! Hats off to the professionalism of the AeroShell Aerobatic Team…the show will go on!
