I'm going to drive from Montreal to attend this show for the first time, I would like to know, do you know if the tickets are on sale in advance or if you have to buy them at the door? Do you have any tips for someone attending this show for the first time? THANKS!

It’s a free show, unless you want premium seating then you have to pay. But since it’s on an Air Force base it’s Free.Nighthawk117 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:03 am I'm going to drive from Montreal to attend this show for the first time, I would like to know, do you know if the tickets are on sale in advance or if you have to buy them at the door? Lineup is looking solid for this year, but it occurred to me that this is typically the only ACC based show that does not have a combined arms or close air support type demo. Seems like Shaw, SJ, DM, etc. always have one. Regardless, at a minimum it would be nice to see the local assets fly more than the F-22 demo team.
Hell, you could do an air to air demo just with the T-38 aggressors and the F-22's even if you couldn't get any SJ F-15E's or A-10's for the air to ground portion. Hopefully they at least do a flyover to start the show, but I remember the days where a 4 ship of F-15C's would do a few formation passes and then beat up the pattern for a solid 15 minutes.. Very similar to what the Bayou Militia is doing at shows recently. Would be nice to see them bring something similar back and from an outsiders view it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to coordinate.

https://www.wavy.com/news/military/air- ... -this-may/If you’ve attended the show in the past, there’s one major change this year you need to know about. Parking on base will be limited. You must request a parking pass in advance on the Airpower over Hampton Roads website.
Parking passes are not available just yet, as details are being finalized, but you should be able to start requesting them in the coming weeks. Visitors will be parked at various locations around Hampton. Transportation to the base will be provided.

In 2018, they had parking on the base and at the Convention Center, with buses taking you on the base.
There were no parking passes required to park on base in 2018.
I guess on base parking will be very limited this year and there will be various off-base parking locations.
I wonder if the parking web site will assign parking on a rolling basis as it fills up with attendees not being able to choose the parking location.
On-base parking at Langley has always been very convenient with short walking distances.

I guess the F-22's that have been moved to Langley have created space issues.
Langley is one show that never fills up for Airshows.
