CAF Capital Wing's TBM Avenger will be in attendance.
Later in June, The Capital Wing is honored to have its TBM selected for the “Flight of Flags” to open the Westmoreland County Airshow in Latrobe PA where the TBM Avenger will be parked next to the USAF Thunderbirds which are headlining the Latrobe airshow.

Considering going to this one...however where is the general admission viewing area? I'm either blind or it's not on that map.

So disappointed they are continuing with this format. Effectively makes this a drive-in show once again with worse views than those from pre-pandemic.

Going to attend practice day but now I'm no longer sure about the show itself. Meanwhile, Columbus is just less than 3 hours down the road from me...

As someone that has attended well over 100 airshows over the last 30 years, I have to say that this is easily the most idiotic layout/set-up I have ever seen. You literally need the old John Madden telestrator to make sense of the diagram they created. Not to mention it appears all general admission folks are literally way out in the parking lot about a mile from show center. Basically a drive in set-up.

Mind you, they used to have a perfectly adequate layout where despite the small ramp you could still spread out nicely and even utilize the hill at show left for viewing. It's almost like they want to make this as miserable as possible for the attendees. I'd much rather they charge $5-$10's more for a general admission ticket and have a reasonable show line rather than this nonsense. I assume the airport director is this one making this decision because no way a highly respected company like Dave's would suggest something this moronic.

Guys,

I agree that the map as presented by the Airport is very confusing. I've asked for the airport to clarify a few things:

1) General Admission Seating vs. Parking
2) Location of ALL Static Displays
3) Use of old ramp static display area that is near the hangars on the south end of the airport and south of the terminal building.
4) General admission access to the ramp south of the Terminal.

I know that the set up for last year and the year post COVID was more of a Drive-In Style which forced the public to see the show from a far show right perspective. Now with the major jet teams coming back to the site, the viewing angle for the show is much different and shifted more south to the original display and viewing areas for the general public. This is in the airport's hands but I'll try to get clarification as to how they want to better set this up for a better public viewing experience.

I really hope they allow general admission to spectate on the ramp where the preferred seating area is. This show has moved away from that slowly over the years and it’s so disappointing.
