Looks like Sally B won’t be flying at European airshows anytime soon.

According to the show's Facebook page, the Draken completes the excellent flying line up. It will arrive in the UK from Sweden on Sunday morning and return to Sweden later on Sunday. At MAF, it will fly a special UK-complient flat display, the development of which may open the door for the SwAFHF to perform at other UK overland airshows in future.

The flying display times are:

Friday: 14:15-18:45 and 21:30-21:45 (4hr45)
Saturday: 12:00-15:00 and 16:00-18:30 (5hr30)
Sunday: 11:45-15:00 and 15:45-18:30 (6hr)

Interesting that Sunday's flying display is currently scheduled to run 30 minutes longer than Saturday's, despite fewer acts. Very much looking forward to this, even more so than usual with all 3 days offering something different.

The hot air balloon line up is not yet complete, but currently consists of 173 round balloons, 29 special shapes, one airship and 35 models.

This will be good!
The team at the Midlands Air festival are delighted and honoured to have the first new combined RAF Typhoon and RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight formation display in the UK, in the sky over Ragley Hall, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Dambusters raids.
In another first for the Festival, the Typhoon and Lancaster will form up during the BBMF display in some stunning tribute passes that will be a must for expert and novice photographers alike. The Typhoon will then go on to perform its full spectacular display.

Some final tweaks to the line up:

Cancelled:
Bob Grimstead RF-4
Lauren Wilson Pitts
Sunday Red Arrows flypast

Added:
Auster AOP.6

The two Nightfire acts (Airborne Pyrotechnics' Grob pair and Otto the Helicopter) have also been added to the day shows, although in Otto's case, only on Sunday.

A clip from day 1 - the debut of the Typhoon/Lancaster formation, which was arguably the highlight of the afternoon.

Today also saw the 2023 debut of the Red Arrows and the return of MAF's ever-popular hot air balloon night glow. There were no balloon launches due to wind, but the forecast is for this to improve. Otherwise, the weather was excellent.

Bob Grimstead has returned to the line up in his Fournier. He did not fly today, but will replace Otto the Helicopter during the weekend shows.
