Hi all,

Will be at Eglin in a few days and would like to do some spotting/photography.
Does anyone have any good places to post-up and get some good shots, on or off base, without getting hassled by the Security Forces?

If your lens is long enough, you should try the national seashore area between Destin and Ft. Walton Beach on US 98. Plenty of parking off of the highway, and the base is directly across the water from the island you're on while you're there. Another possibility is the Maxwell-Gunter Midbay Shores Recreation Area, which is just across the bay from Destin, east of the airfield. There's a campground there, but i do not know if there is an admission fee just to go into the area for beach access.

I don't know the base itself, though, or where you could go if you're on-base.
