Wings Over Wayne Returns in 2015

ToM2014WM_1Small-SAfter sequestration forced the cancellation of the 2013 edition of the Wings Over Wayne airshow, Seymour Johnson AFB has announced they will once again hold a show in 2015!

The show hopes to attract the USAF Thunderbirds. Seymour Johnson is also home to the 4th Fighter Wing, flying F-15E Strike Eagles, and the 916th Air Refueling Wing, flying the KC-135R Stratotanker; perhaps we’ll see those aircraft in the skies as well!

The airshow has historically been held in the spring months. The USAF Thunderbirds will announce their schedule December 10th at the ICAS convention in Las Vegas, NV.

Hopefully this is the first of many military bases announcing shows in 2015!

Did I read this correctly that this is a free event? Took my children and parents to Rome Ga last year to see the Thunderbirds, what an incredible show. It showed my children the amazing skill of our Air Force and that we have the finest pilots in the world serving our country. It truely makes you proud to be an American! Thanks for all you do!
