A British aerobatic pilot was killed today in a crash at Old Buckenham Airfield near Attleborough in the UK. David Jenkins, a member of the Wildcat Aerobatics team, was reportedly flying his Edge 360 while practicing aerobatics for an airshow when the crash occurred. No possible causes have been mentioned, but Jenkins was an experienced aerobatic pilot, serving as the British Aerobatics Advanced Champion in 2012 and 2013. The Edge 360 aircraft is the predecessor of the popular Edge 540 aircraft used by many aerobatic pilots and featured heavily in the Red Bull Air Races.

Our thoughts are with David’s family and friends in this difficult time.
