2016 EAA AirVenture Daily Airshow Schedules Announced

AirVenture is nearly here again, and another interesting show is planned once more! The annual Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh gathering will be commemorating the coming 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the 25th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm, and hosting the Canadian Forces Snowbirds among other exciting events. Today the EAA released the anticipated schedule for the week’s aerial performances with some very interesting participants.

Notable highlights include:

  • Monday’s Seaplane Base Showcase will feature the Coulson Flying Tankers’ visiting Martin Mars water bomber while that evening will see a few World War I aircraft flying.
  • Tuesday will feature further aerobatic performances and conclude with the USAF Heritage Flight featuring a Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon and Vlado Lenoch’s North American P-51D Mustang “Baby Duck.”
  • Wednesday afternoon the CAF Snowbirds will arrive, making their AirVenture debut, and that evening’s show will be dedicated to the Pearl Harbor commemoration featuring “The Pearl” Interstate Cadet, Tora! Tora! Tora!, and a mysterious “Final Countdown Pass”.
  • Thursday, the show will feature a presentation honoring the US Coast Guard’s aviation centennial early on and the US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet demo at the end.
  • Friday will open with a USAF Lockheed U-2 flyover, a special demo by the Martin Mars, and finishing with the USAF F-16 Fighting Falcon demo/heritage flight and the first Snowbirds performance.
  • Saturday will be dedicated to the Boeing Company centennial featuring a Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-8F, as well as the repeat of the Viper and Snowbirds demos. Saturday evening will begin with the Super Hornet demo followed by another Martin Mars performance.
  • Sunday will feature a US Customs and Border Patrol Demo, the Super Hornet, Viper, and Snowbirds.
  • USAF Heritage Flight - F-16 Fighting Falcon and P-51 MustangUS Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet Demonstration - Vapor Cone
