Rhode Island Airshow Changes Dates To Land USAF Thunderbirds

USAF Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcon

The Rhode Island National Guard Air Show in North Kingston, RI has changed dates! The show will now be held June 20-21, 2020 and feature the US Air Force Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds were originally going to perform at Youngstown ARB that weekend, but that show canceled and left the weekend free.

Rhode Island was originally scheduled for the following weekend, with the USAF F-22 Raptor Demo Team as the headliner. They decided to switch to land the larger team. The Raptor team is already booked for a show in Memphis, TN on the 20-21st, so they will no longer be appearing in Rhode Island.

The 2019 edition of the show was canceled due to concerns over deploying units from the base.

You can find a full list of airshow dates for the US and Canada on our airshow calendar page. Major military performances like the Thunderbirds and Raptor are also noted there.

Dang! Wanted to see the F-22, but the Thunderbirds’ performance is always top notch. Still want to see the F-35 soon as well.
