Re: Wings Over Wayne (WOW '22) 2022
It looks like WOW22 will not get the Thunderbirds. This is a huge bummer, as that was part of the reason the show was delayed a year. But between the CAD, the opening ceremony, and any other activities they plan for the 4FW 80th anniversary, it will still be an action-packed show. Plus, first show f...

Re: 2019 MCAS Beaufort Air Show: April 27-28
I found my long lost Blue Angel footage from this air show a few months ago. I decided to hold on to it until the end of the year to send off their Legacy Hornets. Merry Christmas, and for the love of God, give us a better year than 2020.

Mike Wiskus Retiring(?) After 2021 Season
Mike Wiskus, pilot of the Lucas Oil Pitts Special, has seemingly dropped a bombshell announcement in a Facebook post today. 2021 will be his final air show season! If this is really what the post means, it has been a thrill seeing him at least once a year in recent memory. Original post below: This ...

Re: New Bern Air Show, December 5 2020
I reneged and went back to the old editor. Can't wrap my head around the new stuff. One thing I noticed is some weird aliasing as a result of a sharpening filter I used. Created horizontal bars when I posted the videos on other places. Hopefully they don't show up here. Also, the light flare is a ne...

Re: Preliminary 2022 US Navy Blue Angels Schedule
Surprised that Cherry Point isn’t on here. Maybe they’ll acquire the Thunderbirds, but I doubt it. In 2014, the show went on without the Blue Angels, so I’m guessing that’s what will happen again. They have an arsenal of military displays without them.

Re: New Bern Air Show, December 5 2020
So Hubie Tolson flew after all. Was a nice surprise. Great event, and I was surprised by the turnout. I am experimenting with some new editing software, so it might be a while before I make a video.

New Bern Air Show, December 5 2020
I must be hallucinating because I just read that an air show will be happening very close to me. The AeroShell Aerobatic Team will perform an evening air show display over the Neuse River waterfront in downtown New Bern, NC. AeroShell will be the only performer (surprised they didn't book Hubie Tols...

VFC-12 Proposed Super Hornet Paint Schemes
VFC-12 at NAS Oceana will be saying goodbye to their F/A-18A+ Legacy Hornets and upgrading to 12 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets next year, according to the drive. The proposed paint schemes are all shown in the article. I'm partial to the Iranian Tomcat, Lizard, Cloud, and Sierra, but only time will tell w...

Re: Lockheed Martin Space and Air Show 2020
There were also only 2 statics, a C-5 and a T-38. I've noticed a pretty sharp decline of static displays at shows in recent years. With the drive-in format some shows are adopting, they don't really make much sense. It will be interesting to see, when things return to normal, how dense the static d...
