Re: Best settings
That's what I was thinking too, I think I figured it out though and was just looking a little to closely at the images in general. The noise is still somewhat noticeable once editing and bringing them up to a normal exposure but not nearly as bad as I had originally thought they were. Do you just ed...

Best settings
So, I've been shooting airshows for a few years and feel I've gotten some rather good photos in the past. I've been wanting to take my shots up a level and have been looking through at what settings in camera I can change to help achieve that. I've looked through recent galleries here and studied th...

Re: RF 100-400
So the thing that concerned me the most was written in plain text, I’m just really bad at reading. The lens DOES have a panning priority so I went ahead and got it. The first airshow of the year for me will be Airventure so hopefully I’ll have everything by then. I’ve owned an R6 for a little over a...

RF 100-400
Hey all, has anyone had the chance to use a RF 100-400 for an airshow yet? I’m looking to get one but the lack of IS modes concerns me due to past experience with tracking issues

Re: EOS R6 troubles
Thanks for the reply, I kinda thought it would've been a setting thing too except under different circumstances everything was fine. I ended up using a Tamron 150-600 G2 for the show and got *some* results out of it. still no where close to previous years but at least I got something. Plan is to hop...

Re: EOS R6 troubles
Sorry yeah, I realized after writing that “Blurry” is probably a bit too vague. I’ve checked focus and it locks on for still subjects and *some* tracking shots. I’ve had the lens for a few shows now on different bodies and with my Canon 6D2 the lens was rock solid but now on my R6 it’s having diffic...

EOS R6 troubles
Hey all, I finally got the chance to start shooting aircraft with my Canon R6 and Tamron 100-400 but have run into a problem. So no matter what I do, what settings I change, the photos come out blurry. Does anyone use this set up and not have this issue? If so, how do you shoot to get around it? (Cu...

Re: What Photo/Video Gear Do You Use?
Hey guys, now that Airventure is done (late update) and I've had time to look over my pictures. the Tamron 100-400 I used worked better than expected, one question if anyone can help though. When I use the lens with full axis stabilization (mode 1) every image I take is blurry, as if the IS is too g...

Re: What Photo/Video Gear Do You Use?
I found a pretty good nd 2 that someone on a different forum said he uses for air shows so I’ll probably pick one up (need something like it anyway for fireworks) so I’ll def update after Airventure how it goes for me

Re: What Photo/Video Gear Do You Use?
The main reason i thought about using one is the fact in past years using an old sigma 170-500 in shutter priority my aperture would be around f20 and i figured a ND might help cut that down
