Planes Of Fame "Live Demonstrations" (CANCELLED)

Post by Nick » Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:39 pm

Just wanted to simply create this thread about the "Live Demonstrations" that the Planes Of Fame Air Museum organizers are producing, the so-called "Live Demonstrations" have thus far been excellent, a real treat and taste of flight for local Southern Californians, these events are what I call "Dwarf Living History", Planes Of Fame for conducting Living History following with a long presentation of the exact aircraft they handpicked, however, due to COVID-19, the organizers decided to dwarf their "Living History" and convert to "Live Demonstrations". They have recently had success with their first live demo event, and was locally considered a "special event" since the aircraft event they hosted was the brand new, restored airworthy F8F 'Bearcat'. The following below are the schedules for the "Live Demonstrations" all at the same location Chino, CA and the time will be identical (approx. start: 11:30 am PDT.

Update: All Flying Demonstrations are Cancelled, event page will be updated soon!

Unfortunately, the Planes Of Fame Air Museum organizers formally announced the "Live Demonstration" of P-38J Lightning 'Skidoo', will have to wait another day (likely sometime in late November). The Planes Of Fame Air Museum announced recently today, that the Museum will be closed until (likelihood) late November in order of complying with state guidelines of California. Thus, resulting in the "Live Demonstration" of their famously owned P-38J Lightning 'Skidoo' to be postponed to a future date. However, with this being said, the prospect of delation is to aim for late November, overall POF outline plans to return to their newly designed concept of "The Outdoor Experience" by that time hopefully. For me, it is a concern, despite the flying event retaining "Delation (or Postponed), this signals concern of the Annual Airshow if it will occur, but for now, they are "Definite" to host for next year, scientist experts stated, '"It is unnecessary to reverse back to another round of lockdown, all due to the cause of the economy plunging into catastrophic depression". They also mention that a vaccine is functionally working as of currently and to be enabled to deliver the newly created COVID-19 vaccines across the Nation of the US. So still, there is some hope for airshows to happen in 2021, only to observe that it will be 10% different from the traditional event format. Hope for the Best. Just now reported, the reason for Planes Of Fame Air Museum announcing its closure to the public, the county of San Bernadino has "Reverse Transitioned" from Red Tier to Purple Tier. However the "Live Demonstration" of only original Authentic Mitsubishi A6M5 'Zero' is still a "Green Light" for Saturday, December 5th.
