Unfortunately they mentioned in an email that it would probably be a permanent thing.Rhino93 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:09 pm I was kind of split between this one and trying to make it to RIAT again, but seeing the format and pricing won't be going back to normal it makes the choice way easier. Can do all 3 days of RIAT for about half the price of a full day show here. Hope they go back to the old format eventually..

The Erickson Aircraft Collection's Bf-109G-10 (Buchon) has been added. At least it looks the part, with a Allison mounted upside down and a authentic G-10 cowling. I have a feeling this plane won't make the cross country trip alone as she was scheduled along with her stablemate (Flugwerk) Fw-190 for TOM 2020.

It'll just be the 109 unless Erickson wants to send something with it for safety. Focus is still on the theme, this was a leftover from 2020. I could see a few of the western aircraft meeting up somewhere a bit east to continue the rest of the flight. It'll likely be more than just the Firefly and the 109 from the PacificBruceK wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 9:49 am The Erickson Aircraft Collection's Bf-109G-10 (Buchon) has been added. The engine is right side up. The exhaust system has been cleverly lowered to fit the cowling.BruceK wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 9:49 am The Erickson Aircraft Collection's Bf-109G-10 (Buchon) has been added. Full Aircraft List has been posted surprisingly early.
I don't like that they removed the "Static Display Only" indications that they used last year.

I have been to TOM 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. Would fly up from Texas. Do they not have the photo pit anymore? Also looking at their website the prices are outrageous. If I recall the photo pit all day was like $125. I always went both Sat and Sun. They also had a Friday Photo Day for arrivals. Oh well. . I am glad I went when I did.

They had photo pit options last year I think. They had all of the usual Friday stuff too. There is a photo pit on this year's map. I have started to veer away from photography because I have found it draws my attention away from my love of airplanes to getting a good picture. I have not followed much of the photo pit stuff in recent years.KeithNFW wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 2:56 am I have been to TOM 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. Would fly up from Texas.
