If I were them, modern military wise, I’d have each day dedicated to each of the types

Tuesday - Trainer Day (T-6’s and 38’s heritage paint schemes and maybe the T-7)

Wednesday - Cargo Day (C-130, C-17, C-5)
Wednesday night - LET THE B-1 SCREAM

Thursday - Tanker Day (KC-10, KC-135, KC-46, fighter arrival for Friday)

Friday - Fighter Day (A-10’s, F-15’s, 16’s, 22’s, and 35’s)

Saturday/Sunday - CSAR DEMO (C-130, UH-60’s, A-10’s and F-35’s CAS, F-22 vs F-16 Dogfight (featuring the B-2 Saturday and B-52 Sunday)

Saturday night - LET THE B-1 SCREAM AGAIN

A boy could dream lol

All I hope is that they find a way to align the jet box with the normal crowd line. Sitting back behind all of the other planes SUCKS. It is not worth gutting the rest of the show just for the Thunderbirds...

Let's hope the 75th anniversary of the USAF draws in some heavy metal. 2021 was the 30th anniversary of Desert Storm and the F-15 didn't even fly on Sat or Sun even though it was parked in the staging area. And that jet had a huge role in Desert Storm.

The important thing for me regarding this theme at EAA AirVenture and other 2022 shows will be the presence of civilian owned vintage warbirds to represent the anniversary.

Such as F-86’s, T-33’s, C-47’s, C-45’s, C-54, C-123, F-5, F-51’s, C-97 (realize not likely to be ready), C-121A’s (again realize that Columbine II and Bataan not likely to be ready), T-37, F-100F’s, F-4D, A-1’s, A/B-26 Invaders, B-29’s to name some types that come to mind.

Looking forward to 2022!

Joining this year's show at Oshkosh are the USAF F-35A Lightning II Demo Team and the USMC MV-22 Osprey.

Does anyone know if the aerobatic box will still be big enough for Greg colyer to still attend or what size box he needs?

Depends what size box he needs. I believe Oshkosh always has a Cat II (medium) box, it's only the largest Cat I box that requires special provisions.

With no jet teams scheduled and the Snowbirds already committed to the west coast, I don't see any reason why they would implement the Cat I box this year (thankfully). The only wild card would be if the Snowbirds were to pop in for a Wednesday performance but I don't see that happening given the transit distance.

A Monday concert fly-by, followed by burner/vapourfest part 2 by the Growler Team and the F-35 Team would be welcomed ;)
