So glad that it looks the show will still be a go. I hope that the Canada/USA border will be open by September so I can travel up there. Seeing Venom would be very cool, even though it will not land at the show site.n33d4sp33d_85 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 5:10 am Posted on their website:Ticket sale email announcement coming soon! I think it is highly unlikely, based on what is happening south of the border with the ongoing spread of Covid-19, that the land border will be opened by then. I'd love to get down there as well but have written off any chance of that. To be honest, I'd be surprised if the show happens at all. Even if it did, it would likely have to be a drive-in style event and McMinnville isn't exactly well suited to accommodating large numbers of spaced out cars. I just don't see how the organizers can make it work financially.
Of course, if it does go forward and the land border is still closed, you could fly down from YVR and rent a car. You would have to quarantine for 14 days upon your return to Canada....not ideal, but there is still a way to go south.

Oregon Internation Airshow cancelled.
https://www.oregonairshow.com/Announcement-2020.phpOREGON (June 26, 2020) – The Oregon International Air Show announced today that the 2020 Air Show scheduled for Sept. 25 - 27 at McMinnville Airport has been cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 safety concerns and restrictions.
Safety considerations and government restrictions related to COVID-19 have caused the cancellation of many air shows across North America in 2020. The U.S. military continues to have restrictions on non-essential travel and state restrictions on large group gatherings have forced all air shows scheduled prior to June 30 to postpone or cancel. Many shows later in the year have also cancelled or postponed their events until next year.

The Oregon International Air Show organizers are set to host two shows in 2021. One in McMinnville and another in Hillsboro.
The Oregon International Air Show will produce a show in McMinnville July 30 – Aug. 1, 2021 and will also hold an air show May 21 – 23, 2021 at Hillsboro Airport.
