https://www.facebook.com/ww2flyover/pho ... &__tn__=-RUnfortunately the weather is not going to safely allow the aircraft to fly today through Washington DC airspace. Since our authorization to fly through that restricted airspace will expire today, we won't be able to reschedule the flying portion of the program.

Fortunately I was able to change my vacation day from Friday to Thursday seeing the weather forecast and catch the take-offs and landings at Culpepper for the practice run. Here's a Grumman FM-2 Wildcat taking off with a nice stream of prop vortices.

https://theaviationist.com/2020/10/02/a ... o-weather/After the second cancelation, there was already talk of the next flyover. Instead of waiting five years, the organizers are already talking of holding the next flyover in May of 2021. Let’s hope this can happen. Anyway, this Author had an opportunity to get a glimpse at this year’s work behind the flyover and look forward to witnessing the 2021 Arsenal of Democracy Flyover.
