I agree that there's no point in bitching too much about the cancellations; no one can help that. However, it doesn't change the fact that the static was thin.Chuter wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 8:19 pm
Hot ramp was open for Sunday.
I think we need to chill on the criticism. We all know this year was tough for cancellations and complaining does no one any good. It's quite repetitive now and its the same story every year. I feel for the Air Ops crew who put hundreds if not thousands of hours into organizing the show and have to see some of the equipment not show, it does blow but that's the business. The same conversation of blaming whoever for lineups is just old.
Bring on the Thunderbirds in 2020!
However, I think the points about the music being far too loud, and the late opening on Saturday are still legit. You can't get better without identifying problems, right?
I am quite cheesed off that the Hot Ramp was open Sunday, though. That's not fair at all, and I hope that mess-up will be corrected next year. I get there first thing so I can walk the Hot Ramp, and given the aforementioned thinness of the static display, that was like literally another 25-30+% of static I was told I couldn't see.
