It wasn't just a thin line up of aircraft in the flying and static displays, but an extremely muted trade event as well. Singapore always likes to claim its the most important trade show after Paris and Farnborough, but only four months after over 500 orders were placed at the Dubai Airshow, only 39 could be mustered in Singapore.
I guess this is what happens when you hold an airshow but force every international attendee to reserve an immigration slot, arrive on special price-inflated vaccinated-only flights, and travel to a testing clinic at least once a day to take (and pay for) a Covid test. Not worth the hassle.
