Dover AFB Open House & Airshow/Thunder Over Dover 2022
Anyone else wondering why the USMC Osprey demo is listed but it’s not flying?

The MH65 isn't listed either, the website hasn't been updated in like 2 weeks

First timer question. The site says gates open at 9 am. Does this mean the vehicle gates open at 9, or that the gates to the show itself opens at 9? I don't want to show up to park at 8:30 & have to sit in the car on the side of Rt. 13 for 30 minutes. Thanks for any insight!!

The gates opening at 9:00 am refers to when the public is allowed onto Dover AFB for the airshow.gerclr wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 6:35 pm First timer question. The site says gates open at 9 am. Hey All, I was catching up on the messages and I want to add two things.
Heat: they will have water buffaloes so bring a cooling towel to wet. They help a lot.
Todays arrivals as of 7pm: a few helos, a KC-46, 3 Harriers (Ace of Spades), 2 T-6 Texan IIs, Panchito, the Thunder Pig, DC-3, Avenger, Navion, and 2 A-10s (Indiana).
The AMC Museum will be open regular hours all weekend, 9-5 and it is a good view of most of the flying especially if arrivals are on Runway 32. Since the Museum is free, I encourage you to make a donation as a thankful gesture.
I hope that is helpful.

The USMC MV-22 will be flying each day in the airshow. We have confirmed a 6-8 minute flight each day.
