Overall no heat distortion or any haze should effect your shots, if lucky enough, the rain decides to pass through the week before, could have snow tops in the background. Highly recommend anywhere from a 70mm to 400mm focal length.

I would think it would be a security issue to talk about or ask about when aircraft would be arriving.

It's not a security issue.

Anyone who may have such info is certainly welcome to post it here.

The C-17 demonstration will be conducted by the Pacific Air Force (PACAF) Demo Team from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

Having lived within 30 minutes of a military base for much of my childhood and adulthood and befriending many who were stationed at said military base, I tend to believe it is a security issue posting on public forums or groups about current or future military aircraft movements (except maybe the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds), whether it is for an airshow or not. You have to assume the bad guys are also searching the web for this kind of information...

I'm not trying to sound like a dick but I'm just looking out for you guys as well as those who defend the country.

Considering the amount of public spotting information that gets exchanged (even from military bases) and flight tracking apps/services, it's kind of silly to suggest that posting arrival times would be a security issue anywhere.
