The annual tradition continues.Adambadger88 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 3:17 pm Kermit Weeks' 1944 Douglas A-26B Pistol Packing Princess (N39401) still needs to fly a bit more and needs a few issues fixed to where he's comfortable with the final results. So, the aircraft will not be coming to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023. The aircraft is currently located at Aero Trader in Chino, California.

Sorry is this is a repost, but it looks like Aluminum Overcast will not be flying this year.

Patrick McAlee and his wife Natalie will be in attendance for this year's show. However, Patrick will not be performing as he won't be bringing his Pitts S1S to the show.

According to Jerry Cross, Yankee Air Museum's 1945 Boeing B-17G Yankee Lady (N3193G) is stuck at the Muskegon County Airport in Muskegon, Michigan with a blown engine. Yankee Lady was at this airport giving rides at the Wings Over Muskegon Air Show 2023.
According to Jason Zimmerman, EAA is trying to help out by providing a loaner engine to get it flying again for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. It is being rushed to the aircraft. I've heard they think they can get it to it in time and installed to make it to Appleton, Wisconsin for it's scheduled rides during Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Hi all, first time Oshkosh attendee here with a couple of questions. Is there anywhere to somewhat reliably get heads-ups on arrival times for some of the more interesting aircraft each day? I know "interesting" is subjective, but I'd hate to miss arrivals of things like the Super Guppy, Dreamlifter, B-52 because I'm wandering around distracted by the statics. I could always keep an eye on Flightradar24, but wasn't sure if something gets published each day aside from the actual air show schedule.
Also, I believe I've seen videos of arrivals from the weekend prior to the actual start of the show. I have tickets for Mon-Thurs, but how does one view arrivals on Sunday? Are the grounds only open to vendors, campers, volunteers? If so, is there a legal spot outside the grounds that people generally go to catch arrivals before the show week officially starts? If all else fails, is the museum still open to the public on the Sunday?
On a side note, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but I asked on the Mig-23 Flogger FB page if they knew when they planned to arrive at OSH, and they said Tues around 2:30pm is the plan. Of course things can change, but nice to have an idea of when to expect them.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm an experienced air show attendee, but Oshkosh is new for me and a little overwhelming especially since this was planned essentially at the last-minute for me. Thanks in advance for any help/insight.
