Apologies Viper - I had 16 in mind (the why is obvious); definitely too bad that the F-16s have cancelled but Abby has had some bad luck the past few years with late cancellations.
I'm definitely going to try to get out on Wednesday now with the highlight arrivals that day - I'm old school (I started attending Abby airshow when the Voodoos opened the show!), so still slow on the pickup of apps to track inbound aircraft.
For those in the know, please continue providing any updates on arrival times and I'll hope to be out there for key arrivals for me: F-35, EA-18, B-52, and of course the CF-18 demo team.
Cheers!

A C5M is currently heading north over western WA from Travis AFB. Could this be an early arrival into Abby? Should know for sure within the hour.

Cancel that - it appears it is continuing North over the west coast of Vancouver Island. Thought I was onto something. Looking forward to seeing the Galaxy in the air tomorrow!

Sounded like there was a mechanical problem according to someone who was talking to the crew upon arrival.

It sounds like a replacement C-17 has been arranged if the demo jet can’t be repaired in time. My sons friend is a crew chief of a different C-17 at McChord and this came directly from him.JA Boomer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 3:24 amDamn, fingers crossed! I've always enjoyed the C-17 demos.cf18hornet wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 3:20 am There’s a chance the C-17 demo may not coming anymore. The aircraft broke on the weekend and the crews are having a difficult time repairing it. Unfortunately getting another C-17 to replace it for the demo is most likely not possible.

Best arrival goes to the Growlers! They never disappoint! Flyover by the B-52 was a nice touch too!

Does anyone know if any practices are scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) along with the listed arrivals?
Also, any news on the Galaxy?
