New addons just announced.
New performers:
Precision Exotic Cars
Extreme Flight with Pat McAlee
Smoke-n-Thunder Jet Truck
Okay, I've been to many airshows over the decades and I feel like I've seen just about every major civilian act that's out there, and if I haven't, I'm sure I've heard of it
somewhere.
I'm familiar with the Smoke & Thunder Jet Car (dragster, actually) and have seen the great Scott Hammack drive it many times - I believe a gentleman named Bill drives it now and it's had so many different paint schemes or wraps over the last 25+ years. Can someone elaborate what the "Smoke-n-Thunder Jet Truck" is and who drives it? I've asked my go-to source and he says he's not sure and thinks it's a typo.
Not a typo. It's the "HOT STREAK II" Jet Truck driven by Hayden Proffitt II. It's the '57 Chevy Jet Truck that was formerly owned by Les Shockley and known as "Super Shockwave".
Damn that was QUICK. Thank you! Pretty sure I've seen the truck now after the Shockleys sold it. Never put two and two together because it's two wholly different brands - at least in my mind.
Now that opens up a whole set of questions... do I dare go there?

Excellent. Dover is really starting to shape up to be a nice event.
We just booked a couple rooms less than ten minutes from the base. My wife and I are coming down Wednesday evening and staying through Sunday night. Everyone else is coming down Friday night.

I thought the show was going to be a wash out the way it was heading. Glad to see it start to really take flight.

The lineup is looking like a 12-3 or 12-3:30 kind of airshow. A part of me does think we've only seen a partial performer lineup and this may end up being a 12-4 airshow.
My father and I are going to go to the Air Mobility Command Museum on Saturday for their first Open Cockpit Day of 2024.

Our plans are for a flying show from a little after 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. We have a few more demonstrations to add and few other possible surprises.

Hell yeah! After the 108th WG retired the 135s at McGuire, I’ve been dying to see a 135 flying up close again!
