Does that mean all the marine helicopters will be stationed at Dover for the duration of the airshow?passedgas46 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 3:14 amI suppose I spoke too soon when I said "we've seen the final lineup", though this wouldn't qualify as an eleventh hour addition.n33d4sp33d_85 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 10:50 pm Latest Addition: Scott ‘Scooter’ Yoak and his P-51 Mustang “Quicksilver”

Off topic, but somewhat related to the airshow is that SJ is going to his Rehoboth Beach home this weekend, which means Air Force One will be at Dover. There's a TFR around the beach house which reaches the base but there's a cutout so that Dover isn't shut down. When he's in Wilmington, Air Force One and the Marine helicopters use New Castle County Airport and the TFR ring doesn't extend near the base. Either way, it's a clusterduck and I'm so glad to have moved away from all that nonsense.
And for the user who asked... still no Osprey demo, but I wouldn't be surprised if one shows up for static display.

In the two plus years my wife and I lived in Delaware, I honestly couldn't tell you where Air Force One was parked when he went to the shore house. Same for the helicopters. We truly didn't have much need to go to Dover and other points south in Delaware other than to visit the AMC Museum or go to Dover's airshow, nor did we care about the Delaware beaches (especially with SJ spending time down there). Having said that, I would think Air Force One and the Marine One fleet would not be parked at Dover AFB if SJ goes to the shore house next weekend.

If you have them, you'd very likely have Kevin Russo doing his solo routine.Cameron Walz wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 4:16 pm Jersey jerks have been added. Will the lineup Ever stop growing. biggest lineup I’ve ever seen. Loving it!
As for biggest lineup, well, it's more acts than 2022 and probably in the same timespan as in 2022. Remove the two jet teams and you can add six or seven acts. You probably weren't at Dover in 2017 (Thunderbirds) or 2019 (F-22) when the flying began at 10 am and lasted until 4:30!
Now I'm certain we've seen the final lineup!

This is my first year going to Dover actually. I know as long as it’s sunny I’m going to enjoy it.

Obviously way to early to call know it’s a 1 in a trillion chance of staying the same but the weather looks light rain in the morning and cloud cover with the show which would set up some amazing vapor shots with the f-35.

If you truly believe in a weather forecast more than 72 hours out, do yourself a favor and go buy a Mega Millions or Powerball ticket.
Over the decades, I've learned not to be worried about rain but to be more worried about cloud ceilings and the visibility. Having said that, I have been to many airshows where no one could fly because the clouds would not lift, fog would not burn off, and the visibility was too low (because of one of the first two situations).
Two years ago we were blessed with absolutely perfect airshow skies, even though it was hot enough to bake chocolate chip cookies on the ramp.
