Going off memory here but for some reason I seem to think they will actually be at Gabreski with the 106th. I think when the show hosted the F-22 Demo Team they staged from there too. What I was told is that the F-22s and all variants of the F-35 require armed security at the jets at all times and having that at Islip might be an additional cost, be it USAF SF or paying overtime on local police, and you eliminate the additional cost having them at Gabreski.

Yes, the Navy F-35Cs are using MacArthur Airport ( ISP) for the show and they're due in around 5:30 on Thurs.
The Blue Angels are using Republic Airport (FRG) as usual and will be on the Main Terminal Ramp.
Blue Angel #7 is due into FRG around 4:30 on Wed. and the rest of their jets and Bert are scheduled
to arrive aropund 9:45 on Thursday morning. The Diamond will be doing their circles over the beach
at noon and the solos will be over the beach a 1PM. The Delta will be going up again at 3:00 to do
a full practice weather permitting cause the forecast is looking iffy right now at times for Thursday,
with the weather front coming through.

Just a long shot but wanted to see if anyone knows what helicopters will be taking place in the landing at Eisenhower park? Didn’t know where else to ask but bethpage is like 10 mins away so maybe someone knows, thanks.

I can't say for certain, but I've seen MH-60s, MH-53s, CH-53Es, MV-22s, UH-1s, and AH-1s there in the past. I haven't seen the MV-22, MH-53, or CH-53 there in a few years though. Last year was a pair of MH-60 Knighthawks, an AH-1Z, a UH-1Y, and eventually an MH-60 Jayhawk came in. If I had to guess, I'd say it'll most likely be a pair of MH-60 Knighthawks doing the EOD fast rope, the UH-1Y and AH-1Z, and a Jayhawk. Of note is that it's being held on a smaller field this year because of the temporary stadium that was built for the cricket tournament. Being a smaller field, they might do what they did several years ago, which is have the Navy come in first from 10am-12pm, and then the Marines come in from 12-2pm or so. Again, this is all my speculation though, I have no inside knowledge.Ryan138811 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:51 pm Just a long shot but wanted to see if anyone knows what helicopters will be taking place in the landing at Eisenhower park? FYI - Just found this video from today's Fleet Week Helicopter Landing from Mount Loretto in Staten Island,Ryan138811 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:51 pm Just a long shot but wanted to see if anyone knows what helicopters will be taking place in the landing at Eisenhower park? and all it shows is 2 MH-60S Seahawk helicopters from the HSC-9 Tridents on the ground.
Not sure if the Marines or US Coast Guard brought in any other helicopters at other times though??

It's supposed to be on the cricket field: https://www.google.com/maps/search/eise ... ?entry=ttu
Ironically, the big field is unavailable because they built a stadium on it for an international cricket tournament.
I'm not expecting the Osprey to be there, but you never know. They did land Ospreys on the smaller field by the firefighter's memorial in past years. In fact, they landed two there one year.

What time does the A-10 usually go up for the airshow. I am hoping to catch the helicopter landing and then head to farmingdale .

Last year at the KC show, they had round-the-clock security for the 22's and 35B's and I heard it was mostly local PD.passedgas46 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 4:42 pm What I was told is that the F-22s and all variants of the F-35 require armed security at the jets at all times
