Last year at the KC show, they had round-the-clock security for the 22's and 35B's and I heard it was mostly local PD.
I've seen both local and military security forces providing security for F-22s and/or F-35s at civilian airports. The local PD folks love it because it's overtime for them; I'm sure the airshow has to pay for that.

In my years of going to this show (which aren't as many as some of you), the USAF demos typically take place anywhere between 12:30 and 1:30. I would imagine they'd take to the skies about 10-15 minutes prior to their demo times on the beach.

This is a 10-3 airshow on Saturday and Sunday. The same times apply for the Friday practice and rehearsal. There's also a TFR for today from 11:45-2 and another for 3-4:30. Since this is a Blue Angels year there's no doubt in my mind that's for their survey flights and practice.

I'd like to say yes, but I honestly have no idea. Most airshows (even the beach airshows) typically don't provide any details about Friday's activities, and I imagine we won't see anything unless someone posts insider information.

The one time I was at Jones Beach for the entire weekend all of the acts did fly on Friday. All other times have either been just one day or just Saturday & Sunday.

Who and what is in the Legacy Flight? NOT a dumb question, I can't find a who'll be there and what warbird they'll be flying in formation with the F-35Cs.

If all goes well, the Navy Legacy Flight should be Louis Horschel flying his Corsair with the F-35C Demo team,
but I'm not sure if the Legacy Flight will be flown during the Friday practice show also?
