2021 Abbotsford International Airshow
Very promising, I just hope by the time the government approves the go-ahead it's not too late for everything to come together.

It is a tough time for everyone whether it’s an air show or any other major event. The Abbotsford Airshow society has provided a proposal to the government that is waiting approval. If the show does go on it will not be in the format we are accustomed to and restrictions will apply. It may not be as social as past years but my fingers are crossed that we do have an event to attend this summer. With that being said it’s really tough to provide information for this years show so I apologize for not being able to provide info like in previous years. Keep in mind I don’t work for the AIAS.

Interesting...Just noticed (although i'm probably late to the party) that the AIAS logo for 2021 on the website is "Skydrive", and is the exact same design and font as Airshow London?
I wonder if the two shows have entered into an agreement of some kind? Or just blatant copy-pasting from the Abby team?

I could see Abby reaching out to London on how to pull off a successful drive in show. Judging by the logo, I can only assume they're working together, which only benefits both shows.Bingofuel wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 4:04 pm Interesting...Just noticed (although i'm probably late to the party) that the AIAS logo for 2021 on the website is "Skydrive", and is the exact same design and font as Airshow London?

The website is updated with the Yak 110, Jodi Rueger, and Ghostwriter Airshows now listed. I'd say that's a bit of an indication of the "good news" Bingofuel is referencing.
I look forward to the coming weeks!

The 2021 Abbotsford International Airshow is a go guys. The dates will be August 6-8, and it will be a drive in format. Details will be announced later this week. It is being called AAIS Sky Drive. I am so glad that we will have Canada's national airshow back after a one year absence, and bring on the noise from past to present.

I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be accomplished. The formatting will likely be very similar to how Airshow London has. No static displays this year but at least we have a show.

Even though I doubt I can make it as it's drive in and I can't drive; I'm so genuinely happy for you Abbotsford you got Dr. Henry to listen to reason!!!Viper93 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 8:19 pm The 2021 Abbotsford International Airshow is a go guys.
