- Supporting the "levelling up" and "build back better" policies, which the Events Team said would be "good news for the devolved nations"
- Diamond Jubilee events, including Trooping the Colour on the 2nd June and other events which are still TBC
- The Commonwealth Games, due to be held in Birmingham on the 28th July-8th August
The Air Events Team also gave details of other RAF, JHC and RN assets which will be available next year. A total of 105 UK events and 32 overseas events have requested UK military participation for the 2022 season, and they said almost all should get UK military participation of some description. As well as the Red Arrows, assets will include:
- The BBMF, including the Lancaster, should be available all season
- The Typhoon solo display will be available on a maximum of 12 weekends
- The Tutor solo display is dependent on the current backlog of student pilots being resolved before the start of the display season
- The RAF Falcons will be available all season and are being actively pushed to airshow organisers, having only been requested by two airshows in 2021
- The F-35B will not be an official display asset due to lack of airframes and high cost, but will have "very limited" flypast/role demonstration availability
- The P-8A will have "very limited" flypast potential
- The RAF transport fleet will be "operationally focussed" but the Events Team will make every effort to get the C-130 to a few shows before retirement
- The Chinook HC.6 solo display is TBC depending on operational commitments
- The Attack Helicopter Display Team is TBC depending on operational commitments
- The Black Cats will provide a full season of solo displays
- The Puma, Merlin and Wildcat will have limited static display availability
