NBVC Point Mugu Airshow 2023
I am considering coming down from the Bay Area but looking at the static displays, it's kind of bit of disappointing. I hope that there is an update on the statics. Aside from the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels, the other flying demos aren't that interesting. This airshow really need some heavies C-17, KC-135...etc for both static and demo.

So, had a question. I saw a post, I think Air Show Stuff posted it, regarding the performance schedule, more detailed than the official website for this event. We are just a little over 2 weeks out and nothing has been firmed up on the website as far as schedule, parking, and such. I mean, I think the major performers are firmed up but no schedule or parking is detailed yet. I saw a post by Air Show presenter, saying "stay tuned, we are working on some details" ...nothing has come forth from that yet.
Anyway, just would like to know more details about the show. For example, are the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels going to do something together other than a super delta fly over????
Nellis air show in 2022 had everything firmed up months in advance.
Clear Skies!

Going back to my previous reply, the only thing both teams did together at Dover AFB was having their jets parked next to one another. They didn't fly together (no one who uploaded video from that show put a super delta video up, so that tells me it didn't happen), and based on that, I don't think you'll see that at this show. I'm sure you'll get to see both teams parked next to each other in front of the crowd and be able to get photos of one team in the air with the other parked on the ground.samoth97 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 3:08 pm So, had a question. Thank you very much for these updates! Looking forward to this static lineup, hopefully the 144th brings their American Flag eagle. I wonder if VX9 will join in with their new Black Super Hornet.schultzairshows wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 4:02 pm As for Static Displays for this event, as of 3/1/23, here is a list of anticipated static display aircraft/exhibits:

That is much better. I had hope there would be more heavies like C-5, KC-135...etc.schultzairshows wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 4:02 pm As for Static Displays for this event, as of 3/1/23, here is a list of anticipated static display aircraft/exhibits:

Who cares about heavies… if you want heavies go over to March or Travis.

I do. What’s it to you and the attitude. Not everyone can go to make it to March or Travis.
