It looks like they updated their air show map on their Instagram feed - removed the HC-130, KC-46, U-28, 1xF-22 & 2xF-15.

Hoping the scattered storms hold off on the Sunday show. I’m flying down Saturday night. Hoping for the best !

Yeah, the forecast doesn't look great either day. I'll be going Saturday for sure, but I'm not expecting a full show.
I finally caved and bought an AX53, so, if nothing else, this show will serve as a learning curve for using it.

Thanks for the update. The F-35B and P-51 formation flight will be interesting. Hope the rain holds off.

We had this as our opener for the year but after moving, it just wasn't going to work out.
The whole "you need a parking pass to enter the show grounds" policy was another reason we decided against the ten hour drive. I can only imagine the outrage this will have from people who think "oh we don't need one" or just plain didn't care to read.

My god I hope everyone makes it to the show okay that planned ahead and printed their parking passes. The ABSOLUTE AUDACITY of a military installation monitoring how many vehicles come on base. Absolutely unbelievable. Reading and following instructions is very hard for the alleged uneducated masses. I sure hope you stay well clear of Cherry Point too. Pre Parking passes are required there too and I’m sure it’ll be an ABSOLUTE DISASTER.passedgas46 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 3:36 pm We had this as our opener for the year but after moving, it just wasn't going to work out.

There's so many people that don't ducking read and want information spoon fed to them. A little reading goes a long way. There's a lot that claim they had no idea. By my research - and it took me less than five minutes and just using Facebook - all of the major players (the base, the Charleston Airshow page, and the Schultz Airshows Event Page) heavily emphasized the need for these passes.Airplanefreak2000 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 7:50 pm

We did think about a day at Cherry Point, but also because we had just recently moved, decided against that trip.
Dover AFB's airshow is our opener. And guess what... No parking passes are required! I couldn't see them do it there since it's easy to get everyone from the base to a major four-lane controlled access highway.

Now hear me out. I heard a rumor that Dover AFB isn’t Charleston AFB? Is that true? Charleston AFB has done parking passes for every show since at least 2018. This is nothing new or to the people of Charleston. The confused crying foul about it are people who procrastinated too long. Being responsible is so HARD. I hope you very much enjoy your non parking pass Airshow at Dover.passedgas46 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 8:21 pmThere's so many people that don't ducking read and want information spoon fed to them.
