Oh the images I could have made if the conditions were better...not bad but far from what I would have liked

Always wanted to see some "water bombers" in action..had no idea a C130 could be set up for that..Images were taken in a pouring rain so they are less than optimal

These Sunday videos are all from before/during the airshow on Sunday the 28th. We stuck around for most of the show but headed for home after the F-35C left.
I have gone on Monday in the past, it is mostly uncontrolled and free because the tear down is in full swing. Pretty boring though unless you have something specific to stay for, in my case the B-1 and B-52 were both leaving and I badly wanted to catch them.

So it seems like hangin' for Sunday might be a good idea. I counted 4 F-18s and 2 F-15s in the staging area that I was hoping to see fly either Friday or Sat. One Hornet did take to the skies Friday early evening. Saturday, the only modern fighter was the F-22. F-35 was scheduled but did not show.

Sunday is usually pretty decent. It is NOT crowded at all so you can sleep in a bit after the Saturday night fun and still sit anywhere you want by show time. The display booths are all pretty much closed, and the field is almost empty. A decent number of statics leave in the morning, and the show starts earlier than the other days (I want to say 1pm instead of 3pm?). They work with the performers that are willing to stay to put the show together - even Aeroshell peaces out. They do try to work some of the notable departures into the show itself but that's usually hit and miss. This year the F-35C left a full hour earlier than scheduled (thankfully - we were debating sitting around to see it and it would not have been worth it lol). It's easy to see what you want on the schedule then head for home. After the business of the week, Sunday is a relaxing cool down lapIDF783 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 7:30 pm So it seems like hangin' for Sunday might be a good idea.
