Update: Shortly after our original post, the F-16 Fighting Falcon Demo Team released an updated schedule of their own which removed EAA AirVenture and Milwaukee from their schedule, among other changes. Stay tuned for any future updates!

Original post: Just days after the US Air Force’s F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Team officially added EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 to their schedule, the A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team has done the same! The team canceled their appearance in Grand Junction, Colorado and will instead be attending AirVenture and the Milwaukee Air and Water Show at the end of July.

USAF Single-Ship Demonstration Team Formation - A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, F-16 Fighting Falcon - AirshowStuff

This surprise announcement means that both shows will feature all four USAF single-ship demonstration teams, an extremely rare gathering and an exciting part of AirVenture’s “Year of the Fighter” theme that should also see increased attendance of WWII aircraft. The US Navy will also be sending several aircraft to Oshkosh to perform Legacy Flights during the show.

Unfortunately, the A-10 will face the same aerobatic box restrictions in Oshkosh as the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, and F-16 Fighting Falcon teams and will thus be limited to a non-aerobatic “mini-demo”, but with all of the warbirds in attendance AirVenture fans may be in for some awesome Heritage Flight formations during the week.
