A few pics from my family archives here... These are all taken by my grandpa or his wingmen during his active duty USAF career flying the F-4.

Earlier today we posted a write up on some amazing F-4 footage we were able to obtain with the help of WAM. He took our helmet cam flying over the Grand Canyon! Check out the video below.

My pic isn't near the quality of most on here. It's of a Oregon ANG Phantom before getting a sip of gas from a Washington ANG KC-135 back in 1986. I was on a AFROTC incentive ride. There were two that day, the other was in bright paint, not the new subdued gray. Need to find those slides and have better scans made.
My other brush with the Phantom was in 1982 when I got a chance to fly a F-4C simulator at Spangdalem AFB in Germany. I was there for a few days at Boy Scout event and they gave us all sorts of stuff to do on the base.

Life is not a journey to the grave intending of arriving safely in a well preserved body but rather to skid in broadside used up worn out and loudly proclaiming; Damn, what a ride!

It seems we let this thread go without choosing a new plane! How about the TBM Avenger for May!
