Due to inclement weather being in the forecast for this weekend, the 2015 Biplanes and Triplanes airshow at the Military Aviation Museum in VA Beach,VA has been canceled. The museum announced the cancellation on Tuesday citing the long term weather forecast.
Organizers said that rainfall from Tropical Storm Jaoquin and a direct crosswind on their runway could cause significant issues for the show. The airport is a grass field so heavy rainfall could result in very muddy conditions. This would cause parking issues and issues with airplane operations.
Anyone who purchased tickets can either return them for a full refund or trade in their tickets for the 2016 Warbirds over the Beach WW2 airshow, scheduled for May 21-22nd, 2016. You can either stop by the museum, or call (757) 721-7767 to obtain refunds, exchange tickets, or to answer any additional questions.
Organizers expect the annual show to return in 2016.
