Once again, we have teamed up with This Is Flight to offer a nearly hour-long look back at some of the many highlights of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019. This video walks through many of the major themes and celebrations – from “Year of the Fighter” to a tribute to aerial firefighting and all sorts of performances in between. AirVenture is the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration and the undisputed highlight of our summer year after year, and we’re happy to share the event with avgeeks all around the world.
Look for massive warbird formations, the Twin Tiger Aerobatic Team (RIP Mark Nowosielski), the Yak-110 prop/jet hybrid, the XP-82 Twin Mustang, a gathering of P-51 Mustangs, the “Year of the Fighter” US Air Force F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, and A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Teams and Heritage Flights, the T-28 Trojan Thunder team, the Rocky Mountain Renegades, Team Oracle, the Adventures of Aviore, aerial firefighting demonstrations, the US Navy Blue Angels and US Air Force Thunderbirds, rare British warbirds (Mosquito, Firefly, and Spitfire), jet warbirds, WWII bombers and transports, US Navy Legacy Flights, Julie Clark’s twilight aerobatic performance, the Class of ’45 Corsair and Mustang formation, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, MiG-17 night afterburner flybys, and more!
Remember that these highlights are pulled from our regular footage of the show. The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 playlist on our Youtube channel has all of the videos we have posted so far, and we have dozens of videos that have not yet been posted. Make sure you subscribe to catch all of the future footage!
A huge thank you to Adam Landau from This Is Flight for making this project possible with his editing expertise! This Is Flight produce similar videos for their own channel, so make sure you check out their Airshow Dispatches series.
